Nothing highlights engagement photos in Houston quite like a view of the city from a rooftop in Downtown and taking a stroll along Eado. Thankfully, Rachel & Sam were practically down for ANYTHING and went with any spontaneous thing that came up during their engagement session.

We like to say we are a great mixture of planned and prepared and “go with the flow”. We generally plan locations and send out mood boards for outfit inspiration, etc.. but then also, we sometimes just drive along the city until we find a spot we like, park on the side of the street, and capture photos while we get a small break from cars passing by.

All of our couples are the absolute greatest and actually enjoy the mixture of both planning styles we implement. Rachel & Sam were no different. When we wrapped up on our first location and were getting ready to head out to the second, we suggested “how about we just drive and park at a random spot?”. They quite literally replied “say less”. I’m telling you.. the absolute greatest.

We shot the first part of the engagement photos in a beautiful rooftop in Downtown Houston and enjoyed the most incredible sunset. We say this time and time again but it remains true.. nothing beats the beautiful golden glow of a perfect sunset.

After parking on the side of the street, we arrived at our second location where, despite having to wait for cars to pass every handful of minutes, we had all of the fun. There is a small thrill that is attached to knowing you are quite literally in the middle of the street, that always makes for the most fun images.
